We love a parade!
One more sleep till the big day!
It's almost go time for the 23rd Annual Chronicle Herald Holiday Parade of Lights and we are pumped and ready! We've got an awesome army of volunteers--150 to be exact--who will be collecting food and funds along the parade route. Not sure what to bring? Check out our warehouse's wish list.
We also have the incredible support of 101.3 Virgin Radio Halifax and Pete's Frootique & Fine Foods, who made our float possible and are kicking off their annual holiday food drive. We love joining forces in the parade with all you folks!
We've got treats to keep our volunteers cozy in the marshalling area before we hit the road, thanks to the generosity of Sugah and Uncommon Grounds.
And we've got the perfect weather forecast!
All that's left is you! We've been lucky enough to be part of the parade for almost two decades and there's nothing better than seeing you smiling on the streets of Halifax and extending a helping hand. Last year we raised over $12,000 and 2,000 kilograms of food! We can always count on you to show up, and we can't wait to see you tomorrow!
